The After School Arts Program serves as a dynamic creative lab dedicated to amplifying and empowering the voices of historically marginalized youth, through the transformative mediums of filmmaking, reading, writing, and communication arts. ASAP cultivates a nurturing environment where students can explore their creativity and develop essential 21st-century skills. 

The After School Arts Program provides

professional mentorship and guidance by industry professionals through mentorship. ASAP is empowering their voices with the power of cultural responsive storytelling and a film production curriculum.

By fostering leadership and team-building abilities, ASAP prepares students for diverse entry-level job opportunities in creative industries such as film and journalism. With a focus on building pathways for underemployed youth, ASAP is committed to nurturing civic engagement and facilitating a smooth transition to a productive life beyond school.

Our vision is to foster the creativity of the next generation of filmmakers, by reimagining STEAM (at the intersection of) -- storytelling, tech, entertainment, arts and music. We aim to bring together under resourced communities and impacted youth + families through film production that is inclusive and accessible.
